when the hell is dawson's creek coming back on tv. i admit it's one of those guilty pleasures to watch once in a while. those damn kids living in an almost surreal world dealing with their stupid problems then kissing & making up in the end. it maks me sick with envy :p i watch it mainly for the music though. all those contemporary love songs makes you want to fall in out in out in out in luuuurve. there used to be a site that had all the mp3 from every single episode. quite handy if you ask me. but i don't have the address anymore (not quite handy so don't ask). i think my fave dawson's moment was in "full moon". towards the end they had a montage of images from all the characters. yeah it was simple, but slap on jewel's 'hands' & it was damn shweeeet.

four days to go & i'm no longer a teenybopperdopperer. like, that sucks.

i must give movie buffs a bad name for not having seen one in such a long time. the last time i set foot in a cinema was about two months ago, but it wasn't your normal big screen, dolby digital surround sound cinema. it was a small room with two budget speakers at the front kind of cinema. the cool thing about it was instead of the uncomfortable chairs with hardly any leg room that you're normally used to, this one had cushions all padded out where you could lie on. is that the shit or what!? that's how movies ought to be watched. if you're ever around darlinghurst drop by govinda's. they have the dinner & movie thing going on & for a vegetarian joint, it's not that bad. anyhoo i need to watch the cell. since fight club, nothing else has come close to it's production qualities. at this stage i don't give a crap about the plot in the cell, i just want visual inspiration dammit. what a bonus jennifer lopez is in it :)

a revelation! you know that tune zombie nation by kernkraft 400? it's being rinsed out in the clubs, in compilations & sitting pretty at number 2 in the aria club chart as i type. that ever so addictive synth noise is bitten off an old commodore 64 game, the site even has proof. i love the heading it has "a c64 tune has reached no. 2 in the uk charts!" & i love playing the sample over & over again :p. i couldn't believe what i saw today. sitting in between the food court & the camera store was a little contraption called "mr. shine". yeah you guessed it, an automatic shoe shiner. that's right for just $2.00 you too can look like an idiot for 5 minutes. i think it works by sticking your left feet in first, then it shakes it all around, then your right foot, you know the song. i swear.. it even comes with a tv so you won't be bored. to whoever invented it: get your priorities straight man haha. this is going to be bad for our economy. that guy by the train station, that lady at qvb, they'll be out of the job before you know it replaced by these damn machines. the city's gonna lose some character.

schoolies! you wonder why sydney gets quieter around mid november/december. for non-aussies, schoolies week(s) occurs after the final exams for year 12 high school students. all the kids migrate (mainly) to queensland for a time of fun & self-discovery. in other words to pick up & discover how many beers your body can handle before passing out. sure you crazy kids these days probably do that during your lunch breaks, but being in a totally different environment & with the parentals approximately 2.58 billion kilometres away adds a whole new dimension to fun.
