according to inthemix, kiss fm (aka rhythm fm) is shutting down for good by the end of the week. there's not much documentation on it yet but my guess is it would have something to do with money.

being sydney's only 24 hour dance station, its saddening to see it go due to lack of support/sponsorship. since my experience with swr fm i know full well that it's hard running & maintaining an independent station. our boss at the time said that it really is a labour of love. no more garage pressure on monday nights aggghhh

* go to star city for food & park your ass on a chair in front of the big television screens until 4:00
* fall asleep in an internet cafe until 5:30
* eat maccas & catch a train home at 6:00
* crash on the couch at 8:00
* wake up at 2:30 & realise you haven't even phoned in 'sick' for work

something i was thinking about last night - i realised that whenever i'm feeling bored i get the urge to light up a ciggy. if i'm waiting for the bus i have one. likewise for the train. at work i'll sneak out for 'operation smoke' when things get quiet. when i'm waiting for a crap song to end at a club i'll have one. waiting for everyone to finish dinner, smoke time. i can't see any other reason for me doing it (besides the whole becoming addicted thing). it's definately not the trying to look cool dealio.. shaky hands, stained fingers & teeth is anything but. nor peer pressure since hardly any of my friends take up the habit. boredom is literally killing me! must.. occupy.. self

well look at the time. almost forgot it's a week night. listen to exkluziv tonight. i got this really sore throat from eating too much 24/7's yesterday so i'm just gonna play out a mix for about 45 minutes or so that way i don't have to talk. fun fun fun!

it's my dad's birthday today. i woke up at around midday but they've already left to have lunch. i might try & cook some pasta. this is uncharted territory for me so i'm a bit nervous. my cooking resume includes rice & egg in microwave for 50 seconds, & cooking mi goreng noodles. :p

shishkebabs, i stayed up all night re-designing the site & this is all i can come up with. so basic.. but after looking at the other one for the 2 millionth time, this looks like a breath of fresh air. well, it's the exact same layout except for a picture change & a slightly different font. lol. soo creative these days.

strange, i'm not feeling that tired even though it's almost 7. i wish i had gone out tonight but fuck it, at least i got to work on this new layout & also a new mix that's going to be uploaded soon. downloaded robert miles - children earlier & it's been on repeat for ages. yeah that's the song i'll remember utopia by. about the same time last week we was walking out of the superdome still hyper & shit haha..

such a wicked night.. first time ever to a rave & dancing along with around 8,000 peoples is something to experience! met so many new people, but i think i've forgotten half their names already. sunday was a write-off.. i couldn't get out of bed & my feet are still aching.

it feels good to be home on a week day for once, although i did have to work on the saturday to make up for lost time. but the week-ends ain't so bad, the phone doesn't ring & you don't have to listen to people bitching about this & that - time goes a lot quicker. & i can listen to music as loud as i can & take me shoes off too. hehe. in a couple of minutes i have to head out to the city & help out a friend who's having a third year anniversary with his woman. my mission is to help set up a little picnic thing complete with rugs & a pic-a-nic basket in the park & he'll bring her over blindfolded & she'll be all surprised & he'll probably be in her good books for that night hah.

rhythm & blues music appreciation night
another fun night out with the boys & girls this time at broadway hotel. for certain people, it was a case one tequila, two tequila, three tequila floor. but it's all good, she's still alive to tell the tale hah :p there was bit of a crowd last night which was good considering there's been less people going there these days. plenty of fiiiine girls but hey, i was there for the music bwaha. someone please remind me to stop spending so much money on drinks & cigarettes & buying take out for lunch every single freakin work day. here i am with a full time job & earning okay money but come to the end of the week i wonder where all of it has disappeared to :/ that's why i signed up for that credit card. hehe.. & by monday 8am, i'll have activated it & i'll be going shopping here, here & here, & maybe here, & definately here.

went ice skating for the first time in donkeys years. don't know what we were thinking going in winter - froze my bollocks off! luckily, there were no stacks to be reported - just a couple of close calls haha. ice skating rinks smell somethin bad. i wonder about how many sweaty, fungus infested feet went into those skating boots before i put them on. i should probably put these four socks in quarantine now.

i'm bored & unhappy with this rut i'm stuck in. when you wake up not being positive about the day ahead of you, you know you need some kind of change in your routine. in other words, i need a holiday! end of financial year shenanigans are finally over & i'm going to finally take two days off from work next week hehe. but nope, that's not enough.. there's greater plans ahead. hopefully there will be a trip to queensland in the upcoming months. YOU READING THIS BOYS? we're going back to the saddle club. & i'm also aching to go back snowboarding this year. my friend's hooked up with some free accomodation in jindabyne. wow, i guess there are things to look forward to after all..
